At the Forum Budget meeting in October 2020, the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) presented the planned implementation of the unisap-FWF interface for the transmission of project accounting data.

After clarifying the final technical details of the interface, it will now go into implementation. The University of Innsbruck and the Vienna University of Technology will test the interface in the pilot phase. It will then be made available to all research institutions using unisap. The interface should already be available for processing project accounting for 2020.

Scope of the interface:

• Annual or ad hoc transmission of accounting data (line items of the project’s cost objects) from universities’ SAP systems for project revision for FWF §27 funding
• The FWF offers a web service that delivers data per each internal order of research institutions and FWF project number. The FWF web service reports the successful processing back to the caller.
