FAIR Data Are Accessible

Time and Place: 19.9.2022, 10:00-11:30 AM, online

Target Groups: Researchers from all disciplines and research support staff

Language: German

Registration is required for participation (see below).

Description

The webinar will show simple steps on how data available in a repository can be made as accessible and barrier-free as possible. Just a few additional steps when creating a text document enable reading devices to read the content to blind or visually impaired people. Subtitles also make it possible for people with impaired hearing to follow a video. These measures help ensure that content is truly FAIR for everyone. Making your own data accessible from the start means a little extra effort, but has the positive side effect that it is also easier to find on the Internet and is therefore accessible to even more people.

Webinar Series

The event series “Research Data Management in Austria” is aimed at researchers and / or people involved in research support and serves to promote networking and exchange on the topic of research data management, writing a data management plan and similar related topics.

Registration

The event will be recorded. This recording will then be publicly available on the FAIR Data Austria website and in openly accessible repositories. If you do not want your video and audio recordings to be published, you can turn off both your camera and microphone during the entire event.

You will receive the link for dialing in via email before the event. There is a limited number of places, so please register by September 18th, 2022 at the latest.
